Throughout the year, many students will have the opportunity to go on field trips with their classes. I encourage all students to take advantage of these wonderful opportunities. With that said, students must keep in mind that they have responsibilities with their other classes as well and they are still responsible for the work they miss. Field trips do not change the policies that are in place for tests and project due dates. Students are responsible for getting the material they miss in class while on a field trip and they are still responsible for taking tests and turning in projects on the days assigned. Extensions are NOT granted for participating in field trips. With that said, if a test is scheduled for the same day as a field trip, the student is responsible for arranging to make up the test at the earliest possible time. (within 2 days of the scheduled test day) If a project is due on the day of the field trip, the student must make arrangements to turn the project in on the assigned due date or before.
