Fundamentals of Web Design (3rd Six Weeks)

During the final Weeks of Web Design, students will learn more codes to use in writing HTML code tags for a web page.  Display their Web pages and product final Web pages from HTML code.  Students will explore using software Expression Web 3.0 by Microsoft

They will learn to develop their web sites on the six step process:

1.    Define the purpose.  2.  Identify the audience.  3.  Plan the content.  4. Plan the structure

5.  Plan the Web Pages  6.  Plan the navigation

Unit 1:  BASIC WEB SITE CONSTRUCTION & TECHNIQUES 

BCS FWD-1. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the planning, development, and

implementation of web sites.

 BCS-FWD-2. Students will demonstrate an understanding of government, ethical, and industry accessibility compliance issues.

Unit 2:  LANGUAGES

BCS-FWD-3. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the history of markup languages. 

BCS-FWD-4. Students will demonstrate knowledge of languages, markup tags, and good coding practices commonly used to create web pages.

Unit 3:  GRAPHICAL ELEMENTS & LAYOUTS

 BCS-FWD-5. Students will identify and demonstrate appropriate use of graphical elements for web pages.

BCS-FWD-6. Students will demonstrate knowledge of web page layout fundamentals.

Unit 4:  GUI EDITORS

Teaching as a Profession (3rd Six Weeks)

The final six weeks, the students will learned about understanding human develpment and the early history of education in America. 

PROJECT:  Students will observe and write a descriptive report on a student's human develop expectations in her assigned classroom.  A compare and contrast paper desribing how they are and how they should be.

PROJECT:  Students will trace the educational system through a timeline with all students collaborative input.
