Advanced Web Design (2nd Six Weeks)

The Advanced Web Design students will complete the same assignments as the Fundamentals because copyrights were not discussed during their fundamentals class. 

The Final Project will be graded with the same rubric.  However, the advanced students will use Expression 4.0 to create their web pages.

During the 3rd Six Weeks of Web Design students will explore Standard BCS.FWD.2.  Students will demonstrate an understanding of governmental, ethical and industry compliance issues.

Students will explore Microsoft Expressions Web 4.0 for understanding and application.

***Students will learn basic codes to use in writing HTML code tags for a web pages. 

Students have learned to develop their web sites on the six step process:

1.    Define the purpose.  2.  Identify the audience.  3.  Plan the content.  4. Plan the structure

5.  Plan the Web Pages  6.  Plan the navigation

Unit 1:  BASIC WEB SITE CONSTRUCTION & TECHNIQUES

 FWD-1. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the planning, development, and implementation of web sites. FWD-2. Students will demonstrate an understanding of government, ethical, and industry accessibility compliance issues.

Unit 2:  LANGUAGES 

FWD-3. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the history of markup languages. FWD-4. Students will demonstrate knowledge of languages, markup tags, and good coding practices commonly used to create web pages.

Unit 3:  GRAPHICAL ELEMENTS & LAYOUTS

FWD-5. Students will identify and demonstrate appropriate use of graphical elements for web pages. FWD-6. Students will demonstrate knowledge of web page layout fundamentals.

Teaching As a Profession (Internship) 3rd Six Weeks - 2011

The TAP student internship will return to the classroom once a month.  All weekly hours will be input in CTAE.  Dates to Return to Kell for class:  February 18, 2011, March 4 (Guest Speaker), March 7 (School activity), and April 29, 2011.

TAP Intern was assigned three (3) field assignments to be completed and turned in on April 29, 2011.

TAP Intern will take the Teaching as a Profession EOCT test on April 29, 2011.

Activities and learning will be focused on the STANDARDS EDU-TPI-9 through 12:

LESSON PLANNING:

EDU-TPI-9. Students will demonstrate knowledge of content, students and

resources and will select instructional goals as evidenced in written lesson plans.

EDU-TPI-10. Students will demonstrate an ability to implement lesson plans

which include managing student behavior and classroom procedures,

communicating accurately and clearly, and using various instructional

techniques to engage students in learning.

EDU-TPI-11. Students will demonstrate an understanding of assessment

procedures that can be used and why this feedback to students is an essential aspect of teaching.

EDU-TPI-12. Students will understand the significance of reflection upon their own ideas and practices in order to grow and develop professionally.

 

Computing in the Modern World (3rd Six Weeks)

The last unit 6, 7, 8 of standards is Programming.  if time permits, a Unit of Social Networking will be incorporated.

CT.BCS.CMW.20.  Students will demonstrated and understanding of basic programming concepts.

Students researched the history of Jeroo, a programming software program, and wrote programs for five assignments:  Letter J, Their Initials, Lake Island, and Angel Homeward, Relay Race.

Students will complete tutorials on the the programing software called Scratch.  Student will write programs for Joke, Moving object and Party.
