AVID 4 Update: October 3rd

Reminder: Tutorials are Mondays and Wednesdays.  Please be prepared and ready to go by having your tutorial form completed and turned in at the beginning of the period.

We are continuing to complete our Senior projects as well as complete AVID Senior data.

AVID 2 Update: October 3rd

Please stay on top of your grades - be proactive and go in if you need help!!!!

 

We are beginning a college-career project which involves researching a potential career, charting your own road map, and presenting your information.  This project will take the better part of three weeks.

AVID 1 Update: October 3rd

AVID tutorials are in full swing on MONDAY's and WEDNESDAY's!  I've attached a tutorial form in the pages section of my blog (right-side) in case you need to print off some extra copies.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stay on top of your grades!!!!  Empower yourself to be your best advocate!  Go in for extra help, ask lots of questions during class, complete all assignments, and review/study every night.  You are in charge of your future, so take the initiative!

We are going to discuss a variety of good habits for high school students and then also discuss test-taking strategies in the next two weeks.  Then, we will look over graduation requirements and determine what is required to graduate from high school as compared to what colleges REALLY want to see.  Lastly, we will learn how to calculate a variety of GPA's (Cumulative, HOPE, etc.).
