AVID 4 Update: Nov. 18

ONE SEMESTER LEFT, ONE SEMESTER LEFT, ONE SEMESTER LEFT!!!!  That's right - you are soooo close to graduation.  I am so proud of all of you, especially those of you who have already submitted your college applications (and been accepted)!  Please make sure that you are staying focused and keeping your grades up! 

When we return from break, we will discuss upcoming dates as well as review the final exam schedule (the last one you will take with the rest of KHS b/c you take them early in the spring).  Then, we will continue to research your potential major requirements as well as construct a potential freshmen schedule.

AVID 3 Update: Nov. 18

You are almost one semester away from being a SENIOR in high school!  It's hard to believe!!!  Please make sure you are staying on top of your grades these last few weeks of school.  You have too much riding on your grades!!!!

When you return from break, we will discuss upcoming dates as well as review the final exam schedule.  Then, we will continue to look over potential college's expenses and scholarships.  Lastly, we will update/ create our resume in preparation for college applications and teacher recommendations.

AVID 2 Update: Nov. 18

It's hard to believe we are almost half way through the school year!  Please see to it that you are staying on top of you classes - turning in all assignments, preparing for all assessments, and going in for extra help.  You only have 15 days (3 weeks) until final exams. 

The day you return from break, we will get our ducks in a row, discuss upcoming dates, and review the final exam schedule.  Then, we will look over a variety of college applications to really get an idea of what colleges are looking for as well as research and discuss current college topics.

AVID 1 Update: November 18

It's hard to believe you all are almost half way through your first year in high school!  When we return from our week off, you have exactly three weeks (15 schools days) until Final Exams.  Please see to it that you are turning in all of your assignments, going in for extra help, and preparing for all assessments. 

We will begin discussing the various options available to you after high school (post-secondary).  This unit will go into spring semester where will we research various colleges.
