About the Teacher:
Señora Rivera has taught for more than 30 years.
Twenty-four of these years have been in the Cobb
County Public School System and this will be her
fourth year at Kell HS.
As a native from Puerto Rico , she brings flavor
and excitement to her classes. She has traveled
to several Spanish speaking countries and has
gone to Spain to obtained a Master's degree
in the Spanish Language and Culture at The
University of Salamanca.
She has also been a leader in the Cobb County Cultural Diversity Team and also has an ESOL
endorsement from the State of Georgia .
Sra. Rivera has enjoyed being a mentor to many student-teachers from Kennesaw State University
for the past 15 years and has been TSS (Teacher
Support Specialist) certified.
“I enjoy teaching Spanish, my native language, and take pride in my Hispanic heritage. My
major goal is to infuse in my lessons the love
for the Spanish language as well as its culture.
I also attempt to include the value
of cultural diversity and its place in our society to our students.”
